Immersion Day is Ithacasori’s most collaborative, boundary-pushing event. Part cultural deep-dive, part creative sprint, this dynamic competition challenges teams to compose original works; musical, multimedia, or experimental based on three surprise cultural artifacts drawn from Korea’s rich artistic heritage.

Over just a few hours, six teams will transform inspiration into innovation, working alongside expert mentors and drawing on elements from both traditional and contemporary Korean music. From court music to club beats, from folklore to future-forward tech, anything is fair game. The pressure is on, the clock is ticking, and creativity is the only rule.

The day culminates in a live premiere of each team’s work—a whirlwind showcase of sound, vision, and cultural storytelling that embodies the festival’s mission of exchange and exploration.
