Jimindorothy

Jimindorothy (Jimin Park) is a South Korean jazz pianist, composer, and educator renowned for her versatile performances and engaging online presence. She received a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music, graduating in 2017. That same year, she earned second place in the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest held in Mississippi.

After her studies, Jimin performed actively in the United States, including a stint as a 'Stowaway Pianist' entertainer with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Company in 2019. Upon returning to South Korea, she expanded her reach by creating jazz piano content on her YouTube channel, which has garnered approximately 200,000 subscribers.

At Ithacasori, Jimindorothy will perform a concert that showcases the full range of her musical identity with a dynamic performance that includes selections from her new quintet album, introspective solo piano works, and a special collaboration with the Ithacasori Big Band, who will perform arrangements of songs by Annoying Box—a genre-defying project led by YouTuber Charming Jo, in which she plays a key creative role.
